Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Animated Commentary 5

I’m not sure why I’m watching this – it doesn’t seem to be that good, really.

That really annoying creepy girl, Kurusu Kanako Sasa (only the Romanization’s a coincidence), talks about stuff and breaks the fourth wall, revealing that the commentaries were actually recorded during anime production, so before this commentary, they didn’t even have an OP.

Really, when everybody says ‘Oh, watching this helps you appreciate the story more’, yeah, sure, nope. You only learn about side-things that don’t really matter, and don’t augment the story much, either. It’s only good to watch this if you’re watching it with the episodes – something that I don’t think anybody will be doing.

What’s more, you have to be Japanese to understand the cultural tinge; just like how Japanese people generally don’t watch, say, the Simpsons cause it’s funny and they understand it (even with subtitles), because there’s so much American culture in it that Canadians don’t even understand.

Though it does show quite obviously that Kyousuke suddenly becomes one of those visual novel otamots – though maybe not as pure to allow certain Rito situations into the novel, his… character’s quite otamot-y, now. Actually, now that I think about it, even when he was more pure, he was still a very otamot (it’s an adjective-noun), with all of those fancy speeches that could not have possibly worked.

Kanako also explains other things, like why she’s friends with Kirino – basically, she tried to annoy Kirino so badly that she’d commit suicide, but Kirino just acted like a bitch, so Kanako respects her.

Finally, apparently things are going to be revealed in the final episode – which is out, and which I have. Please wait warmly, posts are preparing (themselves!)~

Oh, and remember this picture. ENGRAVE IT IN YOUR BRAIN. It shall be useful… next time.
