Steins;Gate: Boukan no Rebellion 7

So, I was just in class, chillin’ out maxin’ relaxin’ all cool, and all doing some homework in the computer lab, (which is actually not in class, so I wasn’t really in class; I was in the computer lab), when a singular guy, who was up to no good, that PORTENTOUS (I meant to say ‘portly’ but that would be insulting, seeing as he’s not actually broad in girth) individual entered the lab with a certain PORTENTOUS (I meant to say ‘portable’ but that would not make sense, seeing as he’s not actually a makeshift schoolhouse) demeanour that simply PORTENTIFIED (I meant to say ‘portrayed’ but that would make sense, seeing as ‘portentified’s not actually a word) his PERSONALITY (I meant to say ‘portentousness’ but that would be redundant, seeing as I repeated ‘portentous’ so many times).

Anyways, he walked in, signed in to his account on his FANCY LIE-NO-EKS box and opened up Google Chrome.

Lo and behold! What was that pinned tab in the top-left corner of his screen?

…and it was on MangaFox. Damn right, the MangaFox that just took off all of its Shounen Jump series (a good thing, seeing as, y’know, that’s ILLEGAL STUFF, though if Batoto takes them down then… well, it’d be even better because fuck, I HATE Bleach). The MangaFox with that fat rich douchebag that profiteers from illegally uploading illegally scanlated illegal manga, who doesn’t give any money to the original creators of the manga, the original licensers of the manga, the American licensers of the manga, the American translators of the manga, the illegal translators of the manga, the official translators of the manga, the fan translators of the manga, and really anybody else at all.

My respect level for this portentous individual has dwindled to merely nine-tenths of its former level.

P.S. Well, I do hope he doesn’t read this post… more coming up after the <more> tag.

Then again, sometimes, fan scanlations are… uh… of dubious quality. You know the saying; 20% of fan translations are crap, 10% of American translations are crap, and 5% of official translations are crap. My Black★Rock Shooter Translation, on the other hand, is 0% crap and 100% ~awesome~, by virtue of it being translated by me.

Daru is, like, five times wider than Suzuha. Sure, this wouldn’t matter much in the art of the anime (which somehow makes everybody look normal), but… people aren’t five times wider than each other in real life. Daru doesn’t look fat; he looks like a pro muscle body-builder who spent several years perfecting his muscle to the brink of possible human strength. Not only does he look frighteningly muscular, but he also “moe”s for workshops, mechas, and inorganic substances. Ugh. Creepy.

Obviously, Daru’s fat. But in Suzuha’s mother’s remembrance of him… he wasn’t that fat. Is it that her mother’s memory is failing? Is it that her mother actually isn’t Feyris (this is a contentious speculation)? But her mother was a famous cosplayer, and what other famous cosplayer is there (DEAR GOD DON’T SAY MAYURI because as you know ‘Mayuri’ is a euphemism for ‘Mushy’)?

Reading this manga does make me feel a bit sad. Everything adds up; Daru’s ‘big hands’, ‘his way of speaking that sounded as if he was trying to show off’, ‘he is an indoor person and has no stamina’, as well as the medal he gave her, and her almost thinking that Daru was her dad. But Daru is her dad! And he was there, at the offline meeting! ;_;

I don’t remember if the story is the same here. Didn’t Rintarou grab Mayuri and run out, while being chased by people when she dies? I guess it makes sense that the Rounders are back, seeing as they’re being chased by people. But being Rounders is suffering; if they go back too early in time, they risk altering the future FOREVER (because of the Butterfly Effect), and thus stop Rintarou from discovering time travel in the first place.

OH, RIGHT.

THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT DOESN’T EXIST.

THERE’S NO REASON WHATSOEVER THAT THE ROUNDERS WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO GO BACK IN TIME AND ASSASSINATE RINTAROU’S MOTHER.
