RRR Manga Quarterly Review 6
Right guys.
It’s time for a post about manga.
Read the previous post (which I actually just wrote, yesterday) to understand what the heck these manga posts are about. With that over with, it’s time for some verbal diarrhoea~!
I didn’t realize this, but man, the ending’s coming up pretty quick. We’re at Chapter 78 with this post (6 times 13 = 78), and the manga officially ends on Chapter 106. That’s just 28 chapters away, the equivalent of two more Manga Quarterly Reviews. Actually, I was lying; I did realize this, but I never talked about it. Y’know, I don’t know why I feel this asinine urge to talk about anything and everything that pops into my mind regarding this manga, and all other mangas, and animes, and games, and what have yous. Whats haves yous?
For example: the scanlators use WAY too many hearts and tildes in their scanlations. Translations. Scanned translations. Translated scans. You think that it’s not annoying as hell? Well, just watch me. I’ll MAKE it annoying as hell.
Although there’s a lot of development surrounding Rikitarou and Mori, I’d like to see some more Aozora development. ♥ After all, there’s a big Bunny Drop opportunity coming up for RRR, seeing as the World Lightweight Champion’s having a son as well~~~♥
There are many themes running through RRR; not just boxing, but also revenge, ambition, courage, love, guitars, porn, money, boxing gyms, high schoolers, televisions, magazines, and death~~♥
Everybody in RRR deals with death differently. Except, wait, only one person died! Nobody else is dead! Death has nothing to do with RRR! RRR’s true plot is actually all about porn ♥
Yes, I know, having that heart there just made things incredibly awkward. ♥ Y’know, awkwardness isn’t an emotion in its own right; it’s just an offshoot, a branch, a side effect of being FUCKING ANNOYING~~~~♥
Other characters being nice, such as Kamiyama, was a welcome sight. ♥ ♥ It’s sorta like Touhou, how the antagonists aren’t just enemies – they’re humans just like the rest of us~~♥ After all, boxing is a friendly sport, not a mindless violent street brawl to the death~♥
Except for this Asahina Ren loser, though. ♥ There never was an antagonist in RRR until now; a true antagonist is someone you just can’t sympathize with~~~~♥ Of course, having true antagonists considerably detract from the realism of stories, but what can you do? ♥ ♥ ♥ Have everybody be cool guys? Admit it, the action would get boring, fast. (Then again, some people, even in real life, are just… bad♥)
He sorta reminds me of the actor who played Ivan Drago in Rocky IV; he’s a genius in real life~♥ ♥ However, that guy is actually a respectable individual, whereas Ren is just… wow. What a jackass ♥ It’d be awesome if he were disqualified for using steroids, or something like that. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Yeah, I admit it, I’m a jackass too~♥ But at least I don’t shove that in everyone’s face. OH WAIT, I DO~~♥
Closing notes: I love (♥) how Rikitarou winning actually has a normal explanation – not many people can switch-box. How many truly ambidextrous people are there anymore? Conscious use of the left hand doesn’t work when you’re boxing, as it’s always the subconscious that wins~~♥
I mean, I consciously use my left hand for many menial activities such as copying and pasting these ♥retarded hearts♥. But I’m not ambidextrous; no, I’m ambisinistrous, clumsy with both hands~~♥ MY SPELLCHECK SAYS THAT’S NOT A WORD BUT IT ACTUALLY IS ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I wonder if his switch boxing is enough to let him win the championship, even if he’s 10 years older than everyone else. He has to literally win every match from now on to become champion in just 28 chapters, though. That’s not gonna be pretty…♥
JUST LIKE THIS POST. I CAN JUST IMAGINE YOUR FACES RIGHT NOW ♥
tl;dr: I hope you know now how woefully inappropriate it is to add hearts EVERYWHERE~~~~♥ ♥ ♥
P.S. I can’t believe I just wrote this post like that. brb killing self
P.P.S. ♥ ♥ ♥ I died ♥ ♥ ♥
