Yeah, that’s my reaction to this manga. It’s basically porn, but more exploitative, more offending, more perverse, and more meaningless. I don’t think people can even treat this as porn. There’s nothing appealing about this manga at all.

As I said last Ore no Kouhai post, Ore no Kouhai posts are going to just be about life and shit because the manga itself is so stupid.
So here’s an obligatory Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu Half Season Review (a.k.a. the Legend of the Legendary Heroes and tl;dw), in my pitiful attempt to write all those posts that I didn’t write, and also to free up disc space because god, I need to free up disc space. I have six episodes of tl;dw in there that are just begging to be finished :(

…the fuck? The cover’s now full-blown porn, the translations are awful (‘when a new girl sticks to Kyousuke like white on rice…’), and the narration sounds like some fat twelve-year-old weeaboo. It took me until the end of the chapter to realize that that was Kuroneko’s thoughts, but this made me realize that she’s exactly like a fat twelve-year-old weeaboo, but trapped in the body of a loli.
So, I’m just going to use this post to talk about my life, which is like several thousand times more interesting.
I hit a low point in my life when houraiguy’s recently published post turned out to be INCOMPLETE! This was wholly because of my incompetence as a dictator, and I apologize profusely for the embarrassment it may have caused. It was truly a disastrous fiasco that has put O-New’s entire reputation to shame. Now, nobody shall treat O-New as a proper blog anymore after such a failure.
And then in NaNoWriMo, turns out I’m writing more like (or should I say, less than) a thousand words a day (although it’s really more like 1.5k words for two days and doing nothing the third). I guess I could back out the easy way and say that I’ve written far more than 50k words every month on my blog, every month (this is untrue, it’s more like 20-30k), but that’s the lame way to do it.
Instead, I’ll continue at this pace of a thousand words a day, and probably finish in mid-December. Really, I should’ve just written fifteen short stories and stuck them together, but instead, I’m writing a large story that’s still really just fifteen short stories stuck together. Next NaNoWriMo, I’ll probably continue with this novel, but write them story-by-story, as right now, I’m writing them section-by-section, and thus, the stories don’t properly flow.
tl;dr: lazy, no time for posts

There’s really nothing to say about this manga. If next chapter doesn’t get more interesting, I’ll drop it.
Apparently the artist also draws the ‘main’ manga, so s/he’s not an amateur, but that’s the feeling I get from the art – it feels really lazy, like they didn’t spend the time to draw properly. Yet, this manga is released only once a month, and s/he’s even taking a break next month (after just two chapters? Seriously?)!
There’s too much white space – instead of feeling relaxed or light, as I expect s/he intended it to be, it just feels really blank and empty. There’s almost no shading!
I wonder if this is intentional or just an artistic failure – I haven’t read the main manga, though I plan to later on, so I can’t really compare the art.

What can I say? It’s an introduction (like a half-minute long one) to what I think was episode 13 (I haven’t watched episode 13+, because for some reason the image keeps on getting cut in half when I try to watch it; I’ll watch it someday), with some of the better art I’ve seen in manga for a long while.
To be honest, I think this whole Oreimo thing is overrated. It’s done, it’s over with – why are you still trying to squeeze every single droplet of story from this show? I wouldn’t be surprised if this got a second season; I also wouldn’t be surprised if it sucked like shit; and finally, I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if everyone else loved it.
Really, Oreimo’s getting oreiold. HAHA THAT WAS A PUN YOU GET IT
